The system

Sinopia is named after the red-earth pigment painters used for the first drawing under a fresco: the line that comes before the picture. The identity keeps that idea. Everything is white line on sinoper red, as if the sketch had been left on the wall.

The wordmark replaces its O with overlapping ellipses that read as an eye, a lens or an orbit. The mark is drawn, redrawn and shown here in its drafts, from pencil sketch to flat colour, and in four projects.
